Carol Saddington

Carol Lefferts Saddington was raised in the Philadelphia suburb of Glenside, PA, the fourth of eight siblings, and started piano lessons at age 5 ($2/lesson in the 50's!), completing 9 years. Through her love of reading, she picked up "mad skills" in spelling and editing, supplemented by the intense curriculum of a junior college in NJ. Her corporate secretarial career included years with Johnson & Johnson subsidiaries in PA and NJ, followed by years of working with (and playing the piano for) pastors of churches in Princeton, NJ; Jacksonville, FL; Tokyo, Japan*; Austin, TX; and volunteer editing of school, church, and family newsletters along the way. (*While in Tokyo, Carol found herself accompanying a worship service for a Mormon neighbor!)

She and Jeff dated for 7 years while they completed their educations, then married in '74 and raised 5 amazing children who now live in Honolulu, Norcross (GA), Burke (VA), Austin, and Dallas, along with 4 spouses, a significant other, and 7 grandchildren. Carol's hobbies include cross-stitch, word games, jigsaw puzzles, making chocolate chip cookies, laughing with Jeff, and of course, playing the piano daily!
