Missions - New Covenant in our community and in the world!
Check out some of the projects we have done in recent years
Chiapas
New Covenant Fellowship of Austin
Chiapas Project Mission Trip
Team: Pastor James Lee, Reverend Lydia Hernandez, Elders Caly Fernández and Estela Sifuentes.
The NCFA Mission team traveled to San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. Chiapas is the southernmost state of Mexico and one of the poorest states in Mexico. The team visited Si Paz Human Rights Center in San Cristobal de las Casas, Yobel Presbyterian Seminary, Manos de Cristo Clinic in Ocosingo, Chiapas, and Principe de Paz Church with hopes of establishing a partnership among Mission Presbytery, the Tzeltal Synod, and Yobel Presbyterian Seminary. Plans are in the works to continue short-term Educational Mission Trips to Chiapas and to continue a partnership between NCFA and Café Justo.
South Sudan
Patricia travels to the South Sudan multiple times each year to not only share the
Word of God but also to equip leaders in the community to share the Gospel to their own people as the Holy Spirit leads them.
Haiti
Pastor Lee went on a Mission Trip to Haiti in 2013. It was a collaborative effort with pastors and leaders of Austin Christian Fellowship. The trip entailed building homes for families still living in FEMA tents; feeding over 30 families in another community; providing VBS for students in orphanages while building and repairing bunk beds; loving on orphans, special needs and otherwise, from 4 orphanages; serving in conjunction with Mission Discovery and groups from Nebraska, Georgia, and Texas.
From that experience a ministry called "Manna for Many" was established, and Pastor Lee serves on its board.
