NCFA Essential Tenets
NCFA “What We Believe”
The basis of our belief is the Bible, God’s Word and our guide to faith and life.
The Bible teaches there is one God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe,
eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God created humans in His image, but we defied God by sinfully going our own
way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to restore our relationship with
Him. Salvation comes through this grace, not by human effort, and must be
received by repentance (turning away from our sin) and faith (trusting our lives to
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a sinless human life and gave himself as the
perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross.
Through him we receive not only eternal life after death but abundant life now.
Jesus rose from the dead, is our only mediator with God, and will return to earth
to consummate history.
The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ, comforts the wounded, and equips
believers for personal growth and for service in the church. The church worldwide
exists to love, worship, serve, and make disciples of every nation.
Because all are sinners, all are invited to join us as we explore the way, truth, and
life found in Jesus Christ.
